The invention provides novel organotin compounds and their preparation by reaction of organotin halides with mercaptans, thiocarboxylic acid esters, carboxylic acids or carboxylic acid partial esters. The compounds are prepared by reaction of camphene fanz alcohols R–OH, in which R represents one of the above-mentioned radicals.
